October 25, 2022

Panhandle area troopers represented by the Florida Association of State Troopers (FAST) endorse Corey Simon for State Senate District 3, according to a joint statement from Troop H Director Richard Norris and Troop B Director Kin Weaver, representing the Association.

“Your combination of fiscal conservatism and compassion for your fellow man as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Volunteer Florida make you uniquely qualified to represent the people of North Florida,” said Kin Weaver in the statement. “The trust and support you have earned from Governor DeSantis and Senate leadership, including President Simpson and President-designate Kathleen Passidomo, leave us confident that you will advocate for policies that support and enhance the law enforcement profession, and by extension, keep our communities safe.”

Sergeant Rick Norris and Sergeant Kin Weaver (ret.) serve as Troop Directors for the Florida Association of State Troopers (FAST). Troop H, which includes Tallahassee and surrounding counties, and Troop B, which runs east towards Lake City, are encompassed within Senate District 3.
