Legislature Approves $22.8 Million for Pay Raises

The Florida Legislature is poised to approve a $22.8 million package for much-needed pay increases for troopers and other state law enforcement officers. For the Florida Highway Patrol, the package includes a 7% across-the-board pay increase for ranks up through major, and an additional 3% for troopers with more than 10 years of service. Thanks to Colonel Spaulding and DHSMV Executive Director Terry Rhodes for all of their hard work on this issue, and to the members of the Florida Legislature and Governor Rick Scott for their recognition of the tireless work protecting and serving the public that troopers – and all members of the state law enforcement community – strive for and accomplish on a daily basis!
